The Dramas of Moving In…

Just found out that we can’t get hooked up to the internet until July 14th.. so please allow up to 48 hours for responses to your inquiries. I will be checking in daily still, but please be patient. We’re still here, working busily behind the scenes, to get everything unpacked & painted & setup.. sure glad we won’t be moving again any time in the near future!

I know you’re waiting for new releases, & I am working on those too. It will be worth the wait, I promise 🙂

Stay tuned for the finished pictures of the new place!

We’re Back! Well, kinda.

Just a reminder that my shop will be temporarily closed from June 30th – July 4th while I move in to my new apartment & get my jewelry workspace set up. If you have your eye on something & you don’t want to wait until July, get your orders in before June 29th!

We’ll be opening back up on July 5th with a collection of new, neverbeforeseen jewelry creations! We’ll also be back to our regular production time of 2-6 days come July, as we’ll have our workshop fully set up. Once again we thank you for your patience during this busy time.

Shop Temporarily Closed at the End of June/Early July

Good news — I found an apartment! I’ll be moving in June 30th, so I will be temporarily closing my shop for a couple days while I get moved in & my workspace set up. My last move (from Alberta to BC), I kept my shop open & got flooded with sales, so this time I’m taking a little time off. I can’t wait to get my workstation all set up & back into full production mode! I’ve got so many great ideas I can’t wait to show you 🙂

Shop will be closed to orders from June 30th – July 4th while I get settled in.

All orders placed up until June 28th will continue to ship in the order they are received. We’re at a 1-2 week wait at the moment for custom pieces; in stock items ship within 3 days as usual. Just a heads up in advance — if you’re eying some statement jewelry be sure to get your orders in before the end of June so you don’t have to wait!

And don’t forget — one lucky shopper this month will WIN 5 STATEMENT RINGS, just for stopping & shopping in my store! How exciting. Don’t miss out.. there’s only 17 days left of June; we get closer to finding a winner every day! Will it be you?

PS: Check the shop next week to see what’s new from Brilliance Found — I’m planning on finally releasing some new goodies! Thanks for your incredible patience during this busy month; you are the best !

Officially Welcoming Mr. Bisteries to Brilliance Found Jewelry!

I started designing jewelry for my own use when I was very young; making tiny rings, beaded toe rings & my famous “pierceless” earrings. I would sell creations part time every now & then, at garage sales & craft shows, but I never thought of it as anything other than a casual hobby.

It wasn’t until last summer (2009) when I got the idea to try to sell my jewelry legitimately, online, through artfire & etsy. Up until last year, it never even crossed by mind that I could own my own business. Now, fast-forward a year & I’m maintaining a booming online business, which has sold jewelry to cutting-edge fashionistas worldwide.

What changed?

I met Mr. Bisteries!

Mr. Bisteries & Scottish Fold.

Who is Mr. Bisteries? If you have ordered from Brilliance Found, your order has been carefully packaged & delivered to the post office by Mr. Bisteries. He’s also famously seen in some of my product pictures, modeling my “Pierceless earrings“, & he keeps me stocked up with creative juice (which can be purchased at Tim Horton’s under the trade name of “Steeped Tea“). But beyond all this, he was the one that encouraged me to start selling my jewelry online. Mr. Bisteries is an entrepreneur himself & developed his first successful business venture when he was still in highschool. Ever since then, he’s been busy figuring out new ways to make money from the hobbies he enjoys. When I first met him, I still believed that a job had to be “work” — full of early mornings, grumbling & demanding bosses. Then I found etsy (an online venue for crafters & artisans) & I was inspired by all the jewelry shops I came across. How exciting would it be to sell jewelry online? It was a huge, new concept for me & Mr. Bisteries was encouraging right from the very beginning. But little did he know how my business would take on a life of it’s own!

This past month has been a busy time for Brilliance Found Jewelry, between relocating from Lethbridge, Alberta to Vancouver, Canada & being overwhelmed by recent publicity Brilliance Found Jewelry has been receiving from blogs across the internet. This sudden (& unexpected!) increase in orders has really been keeping my hands full — since most of my jewelry is made-to-order & sized exactly for you, it doesn’t take long to be fully swamped with orders!

Lately Mr. Bisteries has been working behind the scenes in a new way, learning how to solder brass, copper & sterling silver. Starting in July, he’ll be working full-time for Brilliance Found, helping solder my unique statement rings! Mr. Bisteries brings a decade of soldering experience from his work in the automotive/car engine industry to the delicate work of metalsmithing & soldering jewelry. The solder we use for jewelry is a little different than the kind he’s used to, but he’s a natural. He is a quick learner & his patience & attention to detail make him a great addition to Brilliance Found Jewelry! Now, during busy periods we can split up the work & create quicker. This will allow us to keep our turnaround time down while still provide us with some time to continue expanding my jewelry line. We make a great team & look forward to producing many new designs in the coming months for you to enjoy.

Brilliance Found Jewelry won’t be back to peak capacity until early July. Mr. Bisteries is now back in Alberta, preparing for his big move to BC. So I’m temporarily in charge of all the orders again — responding to inquiries, designing, creating, packing & shipping. I’m at a 2 week wait for made-to-order items, but as always, I’ll keep in contact every step of the way. Thank you for your patience during this busy, exciting time! We are moving into our new apartment June 30th & setting up our workshop shortly after.

Keep your eyes out in July for new designs & a whole new look for Brilliance Found!

Shipping Updates & Shop Announcement.

Brilliance Found has officially relocated to Vancouver, BC.

Now I’m house hunting! I have a temporary residence here & my make-shift shop consists of two desks & a pile of boxes. So, as you can probably imagine, I can’t wait to get a space to call my own! Unfortunately (as is usually the case with house hunting), this is taking a lot longer than anticipated, and my search is peppered with potential places being sold out from under me, on almost a daily basis.

Unfortunately I will not be fully set up & back to production as normal for a little bit still. I’ve been flooded with orders coming in at an unprecedented speed lately, so we are at a 1-2 week wait for all orders. I’m contemplating pulling my custom rings out of my shop in the meantime, since I can’t process orders at my regular speed at this moment, & I hate keeping you waiting! In the meantime, please be patient with me during this busy time & I promise your pretty rings will be worth the wait. 🙂

As always, I am available via email for any concerns or questions you may have. Thanks!

Brilliance Found is back in BC! But not back to business, yet ;)

Finally got my shop all set up here in Vancouver, BC.

I have been busy working on all the orders that have been received while I was away. Please note that there is a 1-2 week wait for custom jewelry at this time, as I can only create rings so fast! 🙂  I’m not going to be updating my site until early June, when I am all caught up on my orders & have time to create again.

Things to watch out for in June 2010:

*More statement/double finger rings in silverplate

*Luxe statement/double finger rings in sterling silver & goldfill versions

*A larger “IN STOCK/READY TO SHIP” ring selection

*More simple hoop earrings, in various metals

I have great things on the drawing board, and I honestly can’t wait to show you them! But I need to get my orders out first 🙂 Till then,

Nyne

OUT OF TOWN! MOVING NOW!

All orders placed through Brilliance Found Jewelry (both on artfire & etsy) will be delayed until after May 26th, while I get organized & unpacked.

Ready to order items MAY ship sooner, depending on how organized I am. No promises, but I’ll try my best, because I know how hard waiting for mail can be 🙂
Thank you for your patience during this busy time.. I’ll see you in Vancouver!
