When I first opened my jewelry shop, I knew I had to set some sort of goal. I can focus really well with a tangible goal, so I knew I had to have one. Not that I had to actively work towards it, or do anything differently, but just to think outloud about.. in a sort of a whispered, unimaginable way.
My goal was one goal a day. I felt kinda silly making such a huge goal in the beginning, when I hadn’t yet sold a thing. I went the first couple months with only sales from the oh-so supportive friends & family, but I continued to work heavily on my shop. I started listing in my artfire shop on August 12th (after pushing back my ‘debut’ day a week or so when I realized that “hey, listing jewelry isn’t actually 20 minutes of work“) & started listing on etsy September 12th. As I’m coming up to the one year date*, I just realized I hit 350 sales in my etsy shop! By my 1 year etsy anniversary I will have hit my shop goal. It’s super exciting & really amazing… I guess it’s time to figure out some new goals 🙂
(I guess, technically, I hit the 365 sale goal ages ago if you combine both my shops, BUT who wants to be technical?)
