Get ahead of the Autumn trends & get your hands on some hot new jewelry!
Over 60 layered statement necklaces, simple everyday earrings & more two finger & knuckle rings have just been posted in the Brilliance Found shop.
A little bit of what I`ve been listing today..
This one is my favorite & to be honest, if I didn`t make it in size 8 I would be keeping it for myself. I tried a new oxidizing technique on this one & I just adore how it turned out! Pieces like this really demonstrate how amazing brass really is. Believe it or not, this piece used to be shiny gold at one time! (And could be again, with a lemon & salt bath).
Lately the fashion world has been moving away from the glitter of faceted gemstones & turning to a more natural, organic stone: rough crystals! It`s no secret that I`ve always been a fan of natural stones & I love that the jewelry world is embracing them now as well. Here`s my take on the stone knuckle ring: A Kyanite blade in blue! Set on twin adjustable ring bases, this piece brings new meaning to `wearing a rock`.
For those who can`t give up the glitz, here comes Lepidolite. Lepidolite is a mica-based mineral that ranges from grey to pink to purple. This cocktail ring features a rosy-lilac stone & is sure to thrill! I love this shot of it because it really shows off it`s amazing sheen. The rough organic edges add an unique appeal. Only one available!
And speaking of glitz….
Amethyst like this never needs an introduction. Rich, purple & pointy, this druzy bed brings out the best in the crystal quartz world! Shaped perfectly to fit across the knuckles without being too heavy. It`s set on twin adjustable ring bases for comfortable wear. And it doubles as a weapon if you`re ever caught in a back alley. Look out.
But enough rings for now (yeah right — as if I could get over my addiction to rings!). I`ve been trying to expand my jewelry-making to include some other important pieces: earrings & necklaces. My earring & necklace collections have been severely neglected these last couple months & I`m feeling guilty. I`ve made about a hundred pairs over the past week & as soon as they are all photo`d you can find them in my shop! Here`s a quick sneak preview for those of you who have been oh-SO patiently waiting.
And of course, the necklaces….
Alright, not this exact necklace, but one just like it! Those who know me know that my chest & shoulders are very colorfully decorated in tattoos (or my `permanent necklaces` as I like to refer to them) & as much as I love them, they don`t get along well with regular necklaces, of the jewelry variety. So I like to keep it simple with dainty charm necklaces, which can be worn every day & compliment my tattoos nicely. This Bow & Arrow necklace (above) is made in sterling & 12kt goldfill, for easy everyday wear.
Statement necklaces are going to be huge (no pun intended!) for Fall 2010. Here`s one I just made the other day, which would match perfectly with one of my brass statement rings. Fashion has never been easier! Coming soon, to BrillianceFound.com
